  Senior Care Assistant (Tier 2 Visa Sponsorship)

We are seeking a highly-motivated Senior Care Assistant to join our team.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the provision of care services that meet the needs of our residents and comply with industry standards. This will be done by providing leadership and guidance to the care team during assigned shifts, ensuring effective teamwork and efficient service delivery.

Salary P/A: £20,960

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting and leading care staff to foster teamwork and a positive working environment.
  • Championing resident safety and dignity, ensuring that their comfort and wellbeing is it the forefront of all care decisions.
  • Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills, in accordance with the latest care guidance and best practices.
  • Leading by example in ensuring the ongoing safety of residents, staff and visitors through systematic risk assessments and the continuous review of safety protocols.
  • Maintaining clear, accurate and up-to-date resident records and care plans, ensuring that effective communication systems are established and utilised for both clinical and general care delivery.
  • Serving as a role model for upholding the highest standards of clinical and governance practices within the facility.

Specific Duties

  • Providing effective leadership and support for the care team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Leading by example in ensuring the delivery of holistic high-quality care, tailored to the individual needs, choices and preferences of each resident.
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with GPs and other healthcare professionals, ensuring clear communication and collaborating to mee the residents' medical and clinical needs.
  • Supervising care staff with ongoing guidance to support their professional development.
  • Supervising new Team Leaders and junior care staff with their induction programs, training and competency assessments.
  • Promoting the image of the facility through clear communication, immaculate professional conduct and a well-maintained appearance.
